Pressure belt filter

Cleaner processes, less downtime

In metalworking, cooling lubricants continuously accumulate dirt particles that reduce machine performance and accelerate tool wear. Our pressure belt filter removes even the finest particles and keeps the cooling circuit permanently clean. Fully automatic cleaning reduces maintenance work to a minimum, while the modular design enables easy integration into existing systems.

Overview

Reliably remove dirt particles

A pressure belt filter is an automated filter system for cleaning metalworking fluids. A filter belt or an even finer filter fleece effectively removes dirt particles from the fluid after the contaminated cooling lubricant has flowed through a pressure-monitored chamber. The filtered fluid is returned to the production process, while the separated solids are discharged in dry form.

Advantages of a pressure belt filter

High filtration performance

With our pressure belt filter, we remove even the finest particles from the cooling lubricant, improve the quality of machining processes and extend the service life of tools and machines.

Filtration quality and energy consumption

The overpressure in the upper chamber ensures an even flow through the filter belt, increases filtration efficiency and reduces energy consumption.

No backwashing necessary

Our pressure belt filter prevents dirt particles from mixing back into the coolant, saves water or coolant and energy and reduces downtime.

Fast installation and commissioning

Pre-assembled delivery significantly reduces installation times, so that the system is ready for use in the shortest possible time.

Modular design

Allows flexible adaptation to individual production requirements and enables simple expansion of the filtration capacity.

Fully automatic self-cleaning

Integrated knocker or brush and rinsing systems of our pressure belt filter continuously remove contaminants from the filter belt, minimize manual intervention and optimize operating time.

Low maintenance and durable

The robust design made of high-quality materials reduces wear, extends the service life of the system and reduces long-term maintenance costs.

Overview

Pressure belt filter from KÖBO ECO>PROCESS

Our pressure belt filter ensures high filtration performance and sustainable use of operating resources. The system works fully automatically and enables flexible adaptation to different operating requirements. With our filter, we provide a clean, low-maintenance and economical solution for optimized coolant treatment. The upper, pressure-monitored dirt chamber collects the cooling lubricant contaminated with particles and directs it into the filter system. A horizontal filter belt serves as a precise separating layer between the upper pressure chamber and the lower filtrate drain chamber. Here, the system separates the solids, while the cleaned cooling lubricant is collected in the lower chamber and flows directly to the clean tank. Pneumatically actuated sealing flaps ensure that the filter chamber is sealed and prevent unwanted leaks. The filtrate drain can be flexibly aligned to the side or downwards. Thanks to the pre-assembled design, the system can be installed and commissioned quickly with minimal installation work.

Application

How our pressure belt filter works

The function of the pressure belt filter is based on fully automatic and continuous operation with short interruptions for filter regeneration. Cleaning takes place via a circulating or reversible filter belt or via filter fleece as a consumable.

1.

Filtration process: The cooling lubricant contaminated with dirt particles enters the upper pressure chamber. The cooling lubricant to be filtered is pressed through the filter medium with overpressure and collected in the filtrate chamber below.

2.

Dry blowing of the dirt cake: Before discharge, an air stream reduces the remaining moisture in the dirt cake.

3.

Regeneration phase: A pressure measurement or a defined time sequence ends the filtration phase and triggers the dirt cake discharge and filter cleaning.

4.

Fully automatic cleaning: A brush or beater shaft and belt rinsing clean the filter belt for the next cycle.
