What began in 1894 in Wuppertal with the manufacture of precision chains has developed over more than a century into a specialised system supplier for conveyor and filter technology. We continue to draw on this long experience today – combining proven engineering expertise with modern technologies.
Over generations, we have remained true to our Wuppertal location and to our aspiration: robust, reliable solutions for demanding industrial processes. The following timeline shows the most important milestones in our company history.

Emil Köhler and Hermann Bovenkamp establish the company "KÖBO" in Wuppertal and achieve their first successes with the production of precision chains and sprockets
1946
Creation of the "Conveyor Technology" department
1949
Foundation of KÖBO GmbH, Mechanical Conveyor Technology
1972
Expansion of the range of services to include electrical and control technology
1994
Expansion of the portfolio to include filter technology for cooling lubricants (KSS)
1996 to 2003
Step-by-step production relocation to Znin, Poland

Takeover of the operational business of KÖBO Köhler + Bovenkamp GmbH in its unchanged core areas of conveyor technology and filter technology by the newly founded KÖBO ECO>PROCESS GmbH

Foundation of KÖBO ECO>PROCESS Service Solutions GmbH as a wholly owned subsidiary
